anyone with at least a 3.4 gpa and 1600 on their SAT along with a few AP classes will definitely get in. I myself graduated with a 3.65 gpa, 1750 on the sat, ranked 4 in a class of 50 and got in along with an academic scholarship.

The only real challenge to get into SU is to pay. The scholarship programs are not very generous.

I was an intended graphic design major and so I went through a long portfolio process, but they made this very easy compared to the other schools that I applied to, and were great about letting me know my status in admissions and got all my work back to me. I would highly recommend showing versatility, lots of different mediums in your portfolio. They like to see that you're not stuck in one mode of thinking and have experimented with other approaches. I would also recommend just putting it together as nice and neat as possible. Presentation is everything. Be sure to include everything, and it's nice to put everything in order as required on the requirements sheet.

Depending on the program SU is moderate-highly difficult to get accepted at. If you choose to enter an Arts&Sciences major (i.e. History, English, Bio, etc) you shouldn't have too hard a time. Apply to get into Newhouse for any mass communications major, and you'd better be solid. Like a 3.5 GPA or higher solid.
